Title: Anywhere to watch 1/5th scale this weekend
Post by: markaf on June 15, 2017, 02:51:11 PM
Hi All,

Im a new member and would like to show my son 1/5th scale in action before we buy.

Are there any races this weekend around Melbourne metro? If not, we would still really like to see a group testing. We live in East Malvern.

Thanks in advance!
Mark

Welcome to LSD.....

You have a choice, there is a club in Geelong and one in Hallam. You will find both in the Victorian section of the forum board

I would go to Geelong. End of  summer series will see some gr8 racing. At this stage they have the best in Victoria thumbsup  They are hosting the Nats later this year
Very helpful and willing to talk to new comers

Thanks for that! It would be great to take the kids down to Geelong Sunday but it might be a stretch to make it there by 9am with a 2 and a 4 year old. Just getting them out of the house is an achievement in itself!

I could get to Hallam Sunday but according to the Facebook page there is a working bee. Will there still be some cars doing laps/testing?

Rgds,
Mark

Mate go to geelong.. You wont miss too much if you get there later..  10 or 11am would still see you and your boys enjoying the racing for a few hours...  Would be a waist of time going to see IF they get some cars out after work bee. IMO only.

Thanks for everyone's help! I took my son down this morning and apart from being loud, he loved it. I met a few racers too and talked about their cars, very helpful. Chs!
