Rc video in 4K
« on: February 06, 2017, 03:57:27 PM »
If anyone has a 4k (UHD) TV or large screen please try one of the below. I'm was testing a 4K go pro on the weekend quickly and wanted opinions on differences, I don't have easy access to large screen 4K tv. I'm hoping the pixilation gets reduced on larger screens compared to 1080p

If your using a browser like Internet Explorer or Chrome, or some other shit on Mac's make sure you goto the below link to check it can play 4K

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login  (all need to be ticked). Chrome tends to work without any additions.

Any remember you have to click on the bottom right of the video and change the settings (small gear looking icon) and then select the Higher Res as it defaults to lower res.

Ignore the posi of the camera as I was rushing in the rain to get it to work, but interested if the better quality is worth it as the file size is 4 times what 1080p or current HD videos are..

2.7k Format  (halfway between 1080p and 4k or UHD )

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

4.K Format Wide view

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

4K Format Super view (bout extra 10% screen width, but with a bit of distortion)

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Current 1080p video

What was your conclusion, Bruce? Did you do any more 4k shoots?
