Hi names Brad.. I'm into RC cars 1/10 .. 1/8... Crawlers ..nitro ..electric.. Last count about twelve
Looking at an xrc on gumtree ..cheap and nasty just to start off
Maybe an FG or harm later on if it takes

To be honest I would steer clear of a XRC even if it is cheap. You will have a shit of a time finding spares and they tend to be fragile.
Find a cheap baja(hpi or clone) pretty tough and you can get parts at any good hobby shop.
Then if you find 1/5 is not your thing then you can just about get your money back.
The older I get, the bigger the toys........

Welcome to 5th scale, in all honesty mate, I'd avoid the xrc rubbish, get yourself a used Baja 5b on gumtree or here on the forum if there is any for sale at the moment. You'll thank us for it later.

Still the same, would probably then look at harm or fg over xrc. Wasnt there a post on the ebay thread for a fg onroad for $500
