Maybe we could lure this guy to go join HBF?

They would deserve each other.

I sent an engine to him, and once I got it back I sent it to another engine builder... He almost fell off his chair in laughter... not only that but also stated that with what he had done I would now have to use a stroker crank to get it to run any good.  After he did a proper port job on it.
If it aint got a motor, it aint fun!

He's been doing the rounds on Facebook pages flogging off his engines and offering his race porting. He also sells rebuilt engines on eBay.

What's making it harder to spread the word, is Facebook has so many messages that it pushes these types of warnings away from view very quickly. Hence why I'm sharing here, at least it may turn up on a Google search for potential customers

I just put "Jase Carey Engines" into google and this thread is the first result. :)

i had a worst experience actually with gsr ;) i have an alloy flywheel case in blue and he has my Lauterbacher Adjustable 4 Shoe Clutch still
and i ask him to  send back his  25-50
$ alloy casing for the flywheel, and he hasnt  answered, he is very honest, the clutch is nearly new and  180 $
with my scott finlay engine ive got no problems.....  its just pure power, and its not running at  230 C degres C  at least

I had a couple of run ins with him on fb.
Unfortunately,  he prays on people who don't know any better and mostly works with used clone engines.
His "mod" engines cosist of scufging up the internals with something like a dremel drum sander to give the appearance of work being done.
There is no port work , no trsnsfer work  and nothing is re newed ( bearings , ring, gaskets , etc)
He "lightens" pistons, flywheels , etc by scuffing with a drum sander to give the appearance of work being done.
I've had a few people complain about his "extra charges" which he does not itemize on his invoices.
New clone engines being modded by him include extra charges for new gaskets, new bearings , etc - why does a new engine need new bearings and new gaskets ?!?

I had it out with him a while ago on fb and pulled him up.
He claims he uses a coppet gasket to increase compression , which makes sense right ?
He does this with his "mod" used engines and I pulled him up on it.

Long story short ,
A used engine will develope a ridge near the top of the bore by the ring.
Using a thin / copper gasket brings the cylinder down and what happens when the ring hits the bore ridge and the piston still has a little more upward travel to go before completing its cycle ?

He couldn't answer this , even with his "20 years " of 2 stroke experience.
Instead,  he cried wolf . I was a power hungry bully and a hater .... apparently
