See if you can get your hands on a boring head thats like this one they rock compared to the black silver generic chinese ones

And you will quickly realise the er32 suck balls....mt3 collets are a million times better and quicker aswell as being more ridgid setup wise

Had a bit of a play with the mill yesterday, i got a fair size chunk of plate and basically machined more than half of it away just to get a feel for it and how it cuts.

Anyway that piece of alloy was the base for my first project, a radio tray brace for the DBXL.

Started off by setting up my vice so it was parallel to the spindle.

Then i started milling down my alloy.  Cuts nice and smooth

Ended up with a piece 190mm x 23mm x 20mm.  Still got to machine the 20mm thickness down to 12mm to achieve what i need.

Started marking out all the holes and other machining that needs to be done as well.

Picking up a 12mm slot drill tomorrow on my way home from work.  Hopefully this turns out like i want it to, its my first ever milling job and it doesnt look that hard, ive spent 2 hrs on it already and it seems pretty simple stuff.

I hope this white wadding behind the mill is not flammable.
It can begin smoulder if hot cuttings get in it.
