Major update

Took the Outlaw out for some proper WOT runs and OMFG that thing is an animal headbang
Each time I tuned it a Nat,s c*(& it got better and better and was keeping up with my mates DBXL oddified 30.5 on half throttle yes you read it right half fooking throttle WTF *notworthy*

Now comes the shit bit,

I didn't get any video footage as my 8500 clutch spring decided to shit itself before I could get any and I was gutted and probably won't be out till Sunday so bear with me,I did manage a few more runs but only half throttle and as soon the clutch got hot it was slipping like a b****  *flog*

I no steve poor show lol.
When my mate turned up the clutch spring had already gone so had to tickle the throttle from then on or go home after 10 minutes of run time which wasnt an option.

Howdy Clarkie,
Thats good and that Sucks all in one hit !!
Bloody shame clutch shit itself , I would go with a 9500 (yellow) spring, and a Racers secret is to run your clutch shoes backwards so they are not trailing edge for more bite !!
Told ya it would stomp ya mates DBXL and you were doing it with a knackered clutch and on half throttle . . . .Sweeeeeet !!
Bet you can't wait to get it on the boil again and Whoop ya mate ar$e properly !!
Hope you get that vid happening soon im hangin' to see the Rossi Truck gunning it !!
Keep on with the updates buddy and catcha soon !!

Hi Guys

Been a while since I've last posted up as been to busy enjoying my bashing and speed running,

Nothing major to add but I've now put at least 12 tanks through my 29cc outlaw and it's still absolutely stonking and I've just got myself a TTO tach and on stock 17/56 gearing it pulling over 20,000 rpm with the clone Vrc side pipe.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I've just geared down to 18/56 but yet to test it out as we have had stupid weather here in the UK with rain and more rain.
Will be out sunday for a few hours as just fitted a CPI BB pipe which I will run on 18/56 then change over to 17/55 to see how it compares to my Vrc clone side pipe.
Have heard good things about this pipe plus I've done my homework so let the test begin.

Steering servo is shot but works just enough to do what I want so when it fails completely I will replace it plus I checked the steering servo saver spring setting and it was wound nearly all the way in so set it properly and I'm not to fussed as it's the original SS servo and has been on over a year now when I brought the truck so will replace it with another KM one.

Thanks Mick and had her out sunday for a tune up and some speed runs on 18/56 gearing and hit 19200 on the TTO tach and was pulling wheelies for fun so had to be gradual with the throttle to hit top rpm but im well chuffed with the CPI BB pipe and it sounds very nice.
Only bad point was I had an air leak on the carb side so called it a day but will be back for more this week

Turned around and bang which made me jump out my skin and luckily it had 2-3mm left sticking out and it was squeaky bum time I can tell u.

I use to remove the rear shock brace to remove the CPI at first until I found a way to fit the pipe without having to remove the brace.

I remove the rear bumper section than thread the pipe upside down underneath the front side of the brace than rotate it around so it sits upright
It's heaps easy now 👍

Cheers for that and I did try to squeeze/force it under the shock tower but had no joy so for ease I just removed everything lol.
But if I do remove it again I will try your way as I did think man there's gotta be an eaaier way than this as I could install my side pipe in 5 minutes.

I will try an get a video of removing and refitting the pipe for you.
I noticed you rear shock brace is a lot thicker compared to the TR shock brace, that might make yours a bit harder to do.
I have to remove my cage also to fit it, but that's easy with the roll cage quick release tubes

Hi Buddy
Sorry for the delay as been working and if you manage to do a video all good but no worries if you don't get time,
Not sure on sizes of rear shock towers and mine is the HD KIng Motor one and it just jammed up against it or under it but no way was that pipe gonna fit.
Yes removed the cage too as that was in the way and rear lower bumper and then it just popped in but Jesus what a nightmare but I don't intend on taking it off anytime soon so all that ball ache was worth it lol.

Well it had to happen and I'm gutted as my outlaw on 18/56 gearing and CPI bb pipe was running so well.
Changed air filters over but failed to check if it was clean inside after being in my spares box and you can guess the rest.
School boy error but we live and learn and Pagey is doing another head/piston for me so won't be long till I'm back up and running again.

Put my stock km engine in to tide me over and oh dear it's so bloody slow but can keep on bashing at least.

Thanks mate and I'm gutted to honest as that outlaw was running so well but I should have my new head/piston soon.
Thanks for the tip and I'm going to clean and seal my filters and double check them before they get within 20ft of my engine but we live and we learn.
Picked this beauty up for a steal so it should compliment my outlaw head/piston nicely
