So who's going to be the first to try this. I like idea that it has a reduced rotating mass vs stock

It will be one to watch with a few new designs coming out!  It will be interesting how it goes with some service life.  I'm sure they would have done some testing prior to release.  I've got some MIP stuff in small scale and I recon its been great.  Their after sales is alright as well..

Mate

Most company's have good marketing technics, basically get it out & we will worry about the consequences later. I,don't know whom it was but obviously the picture that has been posted has to be someone that wasn't happy.

Could be a good entry point for a good aftermarket clutch shoe entry for it. Looks like a good idea but I think the material was letting it down

If some could come up with a better shoe material on your standard cy clutch shoe and have a 2nd spring on it. I think that would be the winner. I have to say that I have been running two fs clutches with a standard lee Watson clutch bell and the others a stainless steel clutch bell with a smaller diameter? Both have 8000 rpm springs and still running on my 50cc. Hopefully in the next few weeks  I get more run time. On both of them they are engaging quite well,  and can't see any lagging or bogging at the moment. One is on the hybrid which is a bit heavier. I will have to say that I haven given it a hard bash like I normally do, but will try to put it through some punishment soon. The problem with these clutch shoes is stock unavailability at the moment.

Willie Joyner He's running a stock g320 engine fellows

Matthew Olson Hi Christian please contact our customer service department at MIP email You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login . I have yet to see that. Throught all my testing with the clutch the shoes never looked like that. This didn't happen to be a run away correct?

Looking at the comments above it can't handle a standard G320. Maybe wasn't racing but bashing?

So what I can gather from statements from MIP.

This guy was running his old used clutch bell. the same thing used to happen to 1/8 guys who installed a composite clutch in the old bell that had previously ran alloy shoes. he was also running a 20T pinion on a technical race track which prob wont help.

MIP crew went as far as physically checking over this guys truck to solve the issue and he walked away with a replacement clutch and free "new" clutch bell for his troubles.

MIP will now be updating there install manual to mention you need to install with a fresh bell.

Oh and just about all the MIP drivers are running mod g320/40 's in there race trucks with this clutch. thumbsup

Bullshit! I have the mip shocks, paid 405.00 for them and without the engine the truck goes up and down smooth but once I put my Rcmax engine on it goes down in the front and comes half way up and I'm using 40wt shock fluid all around with the heavier springs that they supply. The mip shock springs are weaker than the DDM heavy duty springs

To me I think MIP have aimed the shocks more towards the racing market rather than bashing with an over weight engine fitted, hence the springs being too light to take the extra weight.

Yes, IŽd think that too, if youŽre only bashing, might get the Innovative RC big boreŽs for the 5ive, they have harder springs

Have to remember this a race truck and its designed for a 4 lb motor and you bought shocks designed for a race truck with a 4 lb motor
So put a 4lb motor in it and it will work
My advice would be take the heavy rear springs off the back and put them on the front and see if that helps out
Yes they are longer springs that's what will help
If it does just get a extra set of rear springs for the back
