JOHNSEE's 5B
« on: April 27, 2012, 07:03:03 PM »
Howdy all ill start a thread for my 5B's

This is my B1 Ive recently pulled it apart an rebuilt it again i did have a G290 in it but this time Ive installed an OBR 27.2 with a stuffed crank and a few other parts. I got a first start up video but i didn't take any footage of it going thu its first tank which mind you i was very happy with.  ;D

Nice mate. What hubs are they.

Have you run in the 27.2 yet? let us know how you feel it compares from a g290RC. I got a 2bolt 27.2 OBR raceported head on its way as a spare engine but I was going to put a 30.5 head on mine.

Ive just started to run it in ive only put 1 tank through it at the moment even tho ive still got it set for EPA50% throttle i can tell it kicks the G290's ass lots of punch at take off, when i put the throttle EPA up to 100% ill let you know. It all depends what your gonna use your car for track or basher :)

Cars looking good Johnsee, and yep love these pipes, best part is if you do smack one in just send it back to Simon and he can weld in a new section, on my 18 month old pipe I got him to do that last year and cost bugger all and came back just like new.

And these aren't made from cheese like a VRC pipe, much heavier gauge steel so can take some abuse.

the bulldogs are good, for soft stuff.. at ssme we have hard pack clay and these don't bite much..i also like these as they have no beadlocks, are are very tough tire and rim..

good luck in the race on the weekend johnsee.
