2-Stroke Engine Displacement Combinations
« on: December 27, 2012, 11:01:40 PM »
Thought I would post this up for those interested in the common 2-stroke engine combinations.

Piston size and engine displacement with different stroke options.

32mm   S = 22.5cc
            +1 = 23.3cc
            +2 = 24.1cc

34mm   S = 25.4cc
            +1 = 26.3cc
            +2 = 27.2cc

35mm   S = 27cc
            +1 = 27.9cc
            +2 = 28.9cc

36mm   S = 28.5cc
            +1 = 29.5cc
            +2 = 30.5cc

Good info, my engine in my basher baja is supposed to be 30.5cc but unsure and might use it for racing in another vehicle when I buy one so good to figure out.

Thanks.

I think you'll find a 30.5 for a baja will be overpowering, unless you gear it down. Remember the a-mains are 30 minute runs with no refuelling.

Thanks for the info Baja Dan, 30 mins ... nice.

My old baja is just a hacker these days. Needs a fortune spent on it. Motor is strong so thought it could be a spare or even primary engine for racing when I got a 4x4 Losi.
Hopefully soon as I'm keen to do some track time with a 5th scale.
